Vaccines

EPI Program

The EPI (Expanded Programme on Immunization) initiative at IRD aims to develop novel strategies to improve coverage of existing vaccines (including their timeliness), monitor adverse events related to vaccines, conduct surveillance for vaccine preventable diseases, and introduce new vaccines based upon local needs. IRD works in close collaboration with UN agencies, universities and local implementors to integrate mobile health technologies to improve vaccine delivery, vaccine trial management, and adverse event surveillance.
